Amazon India is about to begin its big sale called the ‘Great Indian Festival.’
Even before this sale begins, Amazon India, the big online store, has given jobs to about 1 lakh people for a short time.
These jobs are in different cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. Amazon didn’t just hire people for work; they also hired people to help customers.
The company mentioned that some of the new employees have joined the company’s current team.
This helps make tasks like picking up items, packing them, and delivering them easier during the sale.
The Amazon India sale starts on October 8, but Prime members can begin shopping from October 7.
14 lakh sellers are getting space for their products
Amazon India is making its delivery system better to have smoother operations.
They have created storage centers in 15 states. These places give 43 million cubic feet of storage space for products to around 14 lakh sellers all over the country.
They have teamed up with India Post and Indian Railways
In addition to this, the company has joined hands with India Post and Indian Railways.
They plan to make the transportation and delivery process better using the Railways’ dedicated freight corridor.
With India Post, the company aims to reach places that are hard to reach by others.
