Preparations are underway to start another flight to Kolkata. The airline company Alliance Air has sent a proposal to the airport authority.
After getting the approval, the 72-seaters (ATR) flight will start for Kolkata.
Currently, ten flights of Indigo, Spice Jet and Alliance Air fly daily from Gorakhpur airport to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Lucknow.
It has four flights to Delhi and two to Mumbai.
Indigo’s 72-seater aircraft reaches Gorakhpur airport from Kolkata at 5:50 pm, after half an hour, leaves for Kolkata with passengers.
The summer timetable program will come into effect on March 25. At the same time, Alliance Air’s flight to Kolkata will likely start.
