Airtel announces hike in mobile plan prices for 2023

Airtel:

Airtel can make all its plans expensive this year. Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal has confirmed plans to increase mobile phone call and data rates across all projects in 2023.

Telecom company Airtel made its minimum recharge plan expensive last month. Airtel had increased the prices of the 28-day program. Airtel had increased the price to Rs 155 in 8 circles.

Plan prices will increase

When asked if the company’s balance sheet needs to be hiked, Mittal said the return on capital in the telecom business is meager, and a tariff hike is expected this year.

Mittal said at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on Monday that the tariff hike would be seen everywhere.

There is a need for a slight increase in the rate of plans

He said the company had infused much capital, strengthening the balance sheet, but the return on capital could be better in the industry.

Mittal said this needs to change. We are talking about a slight increase in the plan. We hope that she will be there by this year.

Responding to whether the growth in projects at lower levels will be affected, Mittal said the increase is slight compared to what people spend on other things.

The company closed the Rs 99 plan

He said that the plans’ rates have not increased, but the salary and rent have increased. No one is complaining about it.

People are using 30GB almost without paying. Bharti Airtel recently discontinued its Rs 99 minimum recharge plan.

Under this plan, the company offered calls and 200MB data for under 2.5 paise per second.

Airtel has an ARPU target of Rs 200 in the short term. At the same time, its target has been kept at Rs 300 in the medium to long term.
