Air India starts ‘FogCare’ service to avoid disruption

Air India FogCare Initiative: Air India has started ‘Fogcare’ for the passengers of flights affected by fog.

Air India on Saturday said it would proactively contact passengers and allow them to reschedule or cancel their affected flights without any charges.

The Tata Group-owned airline has launched the ‘FogCare’ initiative to reduce the impact of disruption due to fog on passengers.

This will initially be for flights to and from Delhi airport. The industry is to proactively reach out to passengers whose flights have been badly affected and are likely to be canceled during the fog.

Passengers will get this particular facility

Air India said that such passengers could decide whether to travel to the airport or not and want to avoid the inconvenience of the long wait.

Under ‘FogCare,’ passengers can reschedule or cancel their affected flights at no extra cost, and it will also help decongest airports.

‘There will be less congestion at airports

The airline said in a release that this effort would also help reduce airport congestion.

Air India said, “E-mails, calls, and SMS will be sent to passengers of the affected flights, giving them easy options to minimize inconvenience due to fog-related disruptions.”
