Swiggy, a popular online food delivery platform in India, is now making it even easier to order food by launching its own UPI (Unified Payments Interface) service.
This new feature aims to provide customers with a smoother payment experience.
By integrating NPCI’s UPI plug-in directly into the app, Swiggy claims that payments will be faster and more convenient than ever before.
Simplified Payment Process
With this new service, users no longer need to leave the Swiggy app to complete UPI transactions.
Previously, the payment process required five steps, but now it can be completed in just one step, thanks to Juspay’s Hyper UPI Plugin. This makes the payment process much easier and quicker.
No Need for Third-Party Apps
Before this update, users had to switch to a separate payment app to approve transactions, which was often inconvenient and could lead to delays or payment failures.
With Swiggy’s new UPI service, these issues have been resolved.
The platform claims that the transaction time has been reduced by three times, with payments now taking just 5 seconds instead of the previous 15 seconds.
How to Enable Swiggy UPI Service
If you use Swiggy to order food, you can select the Swiggy UPI option on the payment page of the app.
To use this service for the first time, you’ll need to link your bank account with the UPI service.
After that, all you need to do is enter your UPI PIN for future payments, without needing to switch to another payment app.
