New Delhi:
After enduring scorching heat, Delhi-NCR and neighboring states, including Uttar Pradesh, have found relief in the form of rain.
However, humid conditions persist despite the rainfall.
The morning began pleasantly with light drizzles in parts of Delhi, but as the day progressed, people faced challenges from the sun and humidity.
Weather Forecast for Multiple States
According to the weather department, over the next two days,
heavy rainfall is expected in several states including West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms are forecasted for Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura,
and Sikkim over the next four to five days.
Recent Rainfall Activity
In the past 24 hours, significant rainfall has been reported in Assam, Meghalaya, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan,
Coastal Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan, and Goa.
Additionally, Uttarakhand, West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Madhya Maharashtra,
East Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Telangana have also experienced heavy rainfall.
IMD’s Orange Alert
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for several states including Uttarakhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Western Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya.
Heavy rainfall is expected in these regions from 5th to 7th July.
