Google has announced its Made by Google event scheduled for August 13, where it will unveil its latest Pixel devices, including the highly anticipated Pixel 9 series and a new smartwatch.
Traditionally, Pixel smartphones are launched in October, making this an earlier-than-usual release.
Teaser and Device Reveals
A teaser video from Google hints at the upcoming Pixel 9 series, featuring a new visor camera design that aligns with recent leaks.
The series is expected to include three models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 XL.
These models will introduce a capsule-shaped camera module, a departure from the previous visor-shaped design.
Launch in India
Simultaneously, Google has teased the launch of these devices in India on August 14.
This follows the successful introduction of the Pixel 8 series in the Indian market,
including models like the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel 8a.
Speculations and Features
Rumors suggest the new Pixel 9 series will be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, manufactured by Samsung.
The Pixel 9 is expected to feature a 6.03-inch flat display, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will offer 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch displays, respectively.
The Pro models will also include triple rear camera setups, potentially with a telephoto lens.
Potential Launch of Pixel Watch Series
Introduction of Pixel Watch
Alongside the Pixel smartphones, Google may also unveil the Pixel Watch 3 series at the event.
Reports indicate the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 3 XL will feature different display sizes: 1.2-inch for the Pixel Watch 3 and 1.45-inch for the XL variant.
These watches are expected to include enhancements like a new strap fastening system and larger batteries, marking significant updates in Google’s wearable technology lineup.
