Big News for Government Employees in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a significant proposal regarding old pension benefits in a recent cabinet meeting held in Lucknow. Here are the key details:

Old Pension Option for Eligible Employees

In a recent cabinet meeting, the Uttar Pradesh government approved a proposal to offer the option of old pension to employees who were hired before March 28, 2005.

This decision aims to provide eligible government employees with the choice of opting for the old pension scheme.

Development and Tourism Initiatives

Several developmental and tourism-related proposals were also approved in the cabinet meeting:

Temple Museum in Ayodhya Tata Sons will construct a temple museum in Ayodhya at a cost of 650 crores.

Additionally, tourism development projects worth 100 crores will be undertaken, with the tourism department providing land on a lease for Rs 1.

Tourism Infrastructure Development The tourism department will develop Shakambhari Devi Dham

and lease out closed shelter homes under a PPP model for 30 years. Heliports in Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Kapilvastu districts will also be developed under PPP models.

Energy Department and City Development

Other proposals passed in the meeting include:

Energy Sector Reforms The state government passed proposals related to the Electricity Act and rules for electrical inspectors.

City Development Projects like sewage scheme in Ayodhya Cantt area, metro line extension in Noida Sector 142, and municipal share reductions under various schemes were approved.

Legal and Industrial Developments

Industrial Corridor and Legal Amendments Agra and Prayagraj will be developed as industrial nodes in the Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor. Legal amendments under IPC, CrPC, and state acts were also passed.

Expansion of Development Authorities and Miscellaneous Approvals

Development Authority Expansion Limits of Varanasi, Bareilly, and Moradabad Development Authorities will be expanded.

Miscellaneous Approvals Proposals included capital subsidy for Samsung Display Noida, establishment of Centers of Excellence, and granting NOC to nine companies in Uttar Pradesh.

Legal Amendments

Amendments to Legal Framework Changes were made to IPC, CrPC, Uttar Pradesh Goonda Act 1971,

and State Public Property Damage Act, with provisions including restrictions on anticipatory bail in cases involving women, children, and gangsters.
