TVS launches New Look for Apache 160 Series Bikes

TVS Motor Company recently unveiled a fresh appearance for its 160 series bike, Apache. The revamped version includes updates to both the Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 160 4V models.

The company introduced the Black Edition of these bikes into the Indian market, accompanied by the revelation of their prices.

The Bold Black Edition: A New Aesthetic Statement

TVS describes the new black exterior of the Apache 160 series bikes as a representation of fearlessness. Alongside the striking black finish, minimal alterations have been made to the graphics of these models, with the addition of the TVS logo on the tank.

A Tribute to Racing Legacy: Insights from TVS

Vimal Sumbli, Head of Business-Premium at TVS Motor Company, emphasized the legacy of racing linked with the Apache brand, spanning four decades.

He highlighted the global reach of over 5.5 million riders, positioning Apache as one of the foremost premium motorcycle brands worldwide.

Sumbli noted that the Black Edition introduces a bolder and sportier aesthetic to the Apache RTR 160 series, catering to the preferences of their customers.

Notable Features of the Black Edition

While the Black Edition of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V serves as the base variant, it does omit features like rear disc brakes and Bluetooth connectivity.

However, the model retains significant features such as three riding modes, LED headlamp and tail light, Glitch Throw Technology (GTT), and a digital instrument console.

Powertrain Specifications

The TVS Apache RTR 160 houses a 159.7 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, two-valve engine with fuel injection, generating 15.8 bhp of power and 13.85 Nm of peak torque.

On the other hand, the Apache RTR 160 4V boasts a 159.7 cc, oil-cooled, 4-valve engine, producing 17.31 bhp of power and 14.73 Nm of torque. Both bikes come equipped with a 5-speed gearbox.

Pricing Details

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Black Edition is priced at Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition comes with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.25 lakh.
