Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched a new variant of the Rumion in India. Previously, the Rumion G was available with a 5-speed gearbox.
However, Toyota now offers an automatic variant for its customers.
The company has initiated bookings for this model, with deliveries set to commence on May 5, 2024. To reserve the car, buyers need to deposit Rs 11,000.
Features of the Automatic Variant
The Toyota Rumion is available in three trims: S, G, and V. Initially, the option of an automatic gearbox was limited to the base-spec S and top-spec G trims.
Now, this feature is accessible across all ranges. The Toyota Rumion G-AT retains the same features as its manual counterpart.
Notable additions in the G trim include two-tone alloy wheels, dual-tone seat fabrics, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Powertrain of Toyota Rumion G-AT
The Toyota Rumion G-AT is equipped with Maruti’s 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 103 hp power and 137 Nm torque.
It comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The CNG-spec version of this car shares the same engine, producing 88 hp power and 121.5 Nm torque. However, the CNG variant only offers a manual gearbox option.
