MG Motor India has raised the prices of its cars. First, they increased the price of the Comet EV. Now, they’ve raised the price of the MG Astor, a medium-sized SUV, by Rs 20,000.
The Astor has 5 different versions available. The company didn’t change the prices of the cheapest and most expensive versions.
The new prices for the MG Astor
There’s a Rs 20,000 increase for the MG Astor. There are 5 versions of this medium-sized SUV available in India: Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro.
The company raised the prices for the Sharp Pro 1.5 MT Ivory, Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory, and Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT Sangria versions.
However, the prices for the cheapest and most expensive versions stayed the same. So, the starting price and the highest price remain unchanged.
The starting price for the MG Astor is Rs 9.98 lakh, and the highest price is Rs 17.90 lakh.
Features of the MG Astor
For safety, the MG Astor has Autonomous Level-2 (ADAS) technology installed. This technology not only makes driving safer but also more comfortable.
The car also has a lane function, which alerts the driver if the car starts to drift out of its lane. Additionally, it features rear drive assist and adaptive cruise control (ACC).
Powertrain of the MG Astor
The MG Astor has a 1498 cc engine. It produces 110 ps of power at 6000 rpm and generates torque of 144 Nm at 4000 rpm.
The MG Astor comes with either a 5-speed manual transmission (5MT) or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
