The Comet from MG Motors now has a fast charger option. MG Motors is updating its cars quickly in India.
Recently, they introduced new versions of Hector and ZS EV. Now, the Comet, which is MG’s most affordable electric car, has a fast charger option too.
Initially, only a 3.3 kW AC charger was available for the MG Comet EV. But now, there’s also a 7.4 kW AC charger option. However, this option is only available for the top two variants, Excite and Exclusive FC.
The company hasn’t mentioned how long it takes to charge the car with the fast charger. Apart from the fast charger option, MG has also added some new features to the Comet.
What are the features?
The top variants, which have the fast charging option, come with features like rear disc brake, electronic parking brake, ESC, hill hold control, body-colored power foldable wing mirrors, turn indicator integrated DRL, and creep mode.
What’s the range?
The MG Comet comes with a 17.3 kWh battery. This allows the car to travel up to 230 kilometers on a full charge. It has a single electric motor that provides 42 horsepower and 110 Newton meters of torque.
What’s the price?
After adding the new fast charging option and features, the price for the Excite FC variant is Rs 8.23 lakh and for the Exclusive FC variant is Rs 9.13 lakh (ex-showroom price).
