The Indian government has decided to make more of the country’s popular train, called Vande Bharat Express.
They’re adding two new Vande Bharat Express trains. Both of these trains will start from Patna. They will connect Patna to Lucknow, Ayodhya, and Siliguri.
These trains are designed for long-distance travel, and they’ll make traveling more convenient and faster. They’re designed to be faster than Rajdhani Trains.
The first Vande Bharat Express will run from Patna to Siliguri. It will cover the distance of 471 km in just 7 hours.
The train will leave Siliguri at 6 am and arrive in Patna at 1 pm. Then it will leave from Patna at 3 pm and reach Siliguri at 10 pm.
This service will run six days a week, except on Tuesdays, because of maintenance work.
This train will connect the eastern and northeastern regions of the country faster than other trains.
The second Vande Bharat Express will run between Patna and Lucknow, passing through Ayodhya.
The exact timing of this train hasn’t been decided yet, but it might leave Patna at 6 am and reach Lucknow at 10:30 pm.
It will also pass through Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, making the journey quicker. Trial runs for both trains have begun, and the final schedule will be announced soon.
These new Vande Bharat Express trains will contribute to the modernization of Indian Railways.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the modernization of 554 railway stations and 1500 road overbridges and underpasses under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, costing Rs 41 thousand crore.
This includes 43 railway stations and 92 overbridges/underpasses of the Northern Railway. So far, 1318 stations have been identified for redevelopment under this scheme.
