Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Recall What’s Behind It?

The Toyota Land Cruiser is a tough vehicle like a tank. Recently, it was discovered that there’s a problem with its computer software.

Because of this issue, Toyota has called back the Land Cruiser 300 in India. A recall has been announced.

Around 269 SUVs made between February 12, 2021, and February 1, 2023, are affected by this problem.

Toyota says the issue is with the software that controls the automatic gearbox, but so far, there haven’t been any major problems reported.

Toyota will fix this software issue for free for customers with affected vehicles.

They say it’s okay for customers to keep using their Land Cruisers until the problem is fixed. Toyota dealers will get in touch with customers directly about the recall.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300’s Engine:

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in India comes with just one version. It has a 3.3-liter V6 diesel engine that makes 305 horsepower and 700 Newton meters of torque.

It uses a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The current starting price for the Land Cruiser is Rs 2.1 crore.

Who are its competitors?

In India, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 goes up against the Range Rover Lotus and the Mercedes G-Class.

The starting price for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is Rs 2.55 crore for the basic model and goes up to Rs 4.00 crore for the top model.

It comes in three different versions. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has two engine options: a 3.0-liter diesel and a 4.0-liter petrol engine, both paired with an automatic gearbox.
