Here’s when banks will be closed in March
According to the Reserve Bank’s list, banks will be closed for a total of 14 days in March.
These closures are due to holidays like Mahashivratri, the start of Ramzan, Holika Dahan, Holi, and Good Friday.
Additionally, banks will be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of March, as well as every Sunday. Let’s take a look at the holidays in March:
March 1, 2024 – Banks closed in Aizawl for Chapchar Kut. March 3, 2024 – Holiday across the country (Sunday).
March 8, 2024 – Banks closed in several cities due to Maha Shivratri. March 9, 2024 – Second Saturday (holiday nationwide). March 10, 2024 – Holiday across the country (Sunday).
March 17, 2024 – Holiday across the country (Sunday). March 22, 2024 – Banks closed in Patna for Bihar Day.
March 23, 2024 – Second Saturday (holiday nationwide). March 24, 2024 – Holiday across the country (Sunday).
March 25, 2024 – Holi holiday (except in some cities). March 26, 2024 – Holi holiday (except in some cities).
March 27, 2024 – Holiday in Patna for Holi. March 29, 2024 – Good Friday holiday (except in some cities). March 31, 2024 – Holiday across the country (Sunday).
When the bank is closed, you can still do your banking tasks
Banks are important for managing finances. During long holidays, banks can be closed, causing inconvenience.
However, you can use ATMs to withdraw cash. Also, you can transfer money between accounts using net banking, mobile banking, or UPI.
