In recent months, there has been a lot of talk about Artificial Intelligence (AI) worldwide, including in India.
Many countries have started offering features and services related to AI.
ChatGPT, a product created by AI, comes from OpenAI, an American company focusing on AI research.
Now, India doesn’t want to fall behind in this trend. Reliance Industries in India plans to launch India’s own AI model, named BharatGPT.
BharatGPT, similar to ChatGPT, will be launched next month, in March. It’s a collaboration between Reliance Industries and eight top universities in India.
Recently, a sneak peek of BharatGPT was shown at an event, where it demonstrated its capabilities.
What’s exciting is that BharatGPT can communicate in 11 languages!
During the preview, a banker spoke to it in Hindi, and a bike mechanic conversed in Tamil.
Additionally, a developer was seen using AI to write computer code. This AI model, called Hanuman, developed with the support of Reliance Industries, will focus on four main areas: governance, healthcare, education, and financial services.
Hanuman was developed with the help of IIT Bombay, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, and the Government of India. It’s set to launch in March 2024.
People are eager to see how much it can contribute to governance, healthcare, education, and financial services in India.
