IRCTC Introduces Autopay Feature to Prevent Unnecessary Ticket Deductions

Many times, when you book train tickets online, you might lose money even if you don’t get a confirmed ticket.

This mostly happens with Tatkal or waitlist tickets. But there’s a solution! On the IRCTC website and app, you can now use a feature called iPay.

With iPay, your money will only be taken if your ticket gets confirmed. If not, you get your money back right away.

How does iPay Autopay help?

It’s great for those trying to book train tickets, especially Tatkal or waitlist ones.

With iPay Autopay, if your ticket doesn’t get confirmed, you won’t lose your money.

Here’s how to use iPay

1) Go to the IRCTC website or app and fill in your journey and passenger details.

2) Choose the payment option and select ‘iPay.’

3) On the iPay page, choose Autopay and then UPI, credit card, or debit card.

4) Enter the required information.

5) Money will only be deducted if your ticket gets confirmed.

That’s it! Now you can book train tickets online without worrying about losing your money.
