Samsung’s tough tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5, is now ready for purchase.
It was launched in January along with the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone. Right now, it’s available for customers in the US, especially for businesses.
The starting price for the basic model (Wi-Fi) is $548.99, while the 5G version costs $659.
These prices might seem high, but remember, this tablet is built to handle rough conditions, not just everyday use.
Let’s talk about the features
The Galaxy Tab Active 5 is tough – it’s certified to military standards and comes with a strong case.
Samsung says it can survive falls from up to 12 meters (around 40 feet), plus it’s dustproof, waterproof, and scratch-resistant.
It has an 8-inch full HD screen with a fast refresh rate. The tablet has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
It comes in two versions with different RAM and storage: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. You can also add up to 1TB more storage with a micro SD card. It runs on Exynos 1380.
The tablet has a big 5050mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner for security.
There’s also a special button on the side for quick access, and it has dual SIM slots, 5G, pogo pin, USB-C, and Wi-Fi 6 for connectivity.
