New Base Variant of Mahindra XUV700 launched (Features Details)

Good news for people wanting to buy a Mahindra XUV700! Now, there’s a new and cheaper version available.

Mahindra announced a new base petrol automatic model called XUV700 MX. This version will come with a 6-speed manual transmission for both petrol and diesel engine choices.

However, the automatic transmission is only available in the AX3 variant.

The XUV700 MX will maintain its 5-seater layout and is expected to be more affordable, especially with the petrol automatic option.

The price of the XUV700 MX is less than ₹16 lakh. The petrol MT variant starts at ₹13.99 lakh, which is about ₹2 lakh cheaper than the automatic version.

This makes it a more budget-friendly choice compared to the AX3 petrol automatic, which starts at ₹18.19 lakh.

Despite being an entry-level model, the XUV700 MX comes with advanced features.

It includes a 7-inch digital instrument console, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay

and Android Auto (connected with a wire), a four-speaker sound system, electric outside rearview mirrors (ORVM), follow-me-home headlamps, and ISOFIX anchor mounts for child seats.

The MX variant comes with 17-inch steel wheels, while alloy wheels are available in higher variants of the XUV700.

For customers with a budget of less than ₹20 lakh (on-road) who prefer automatic transmission, the XUV700 MT Petrol AT is a good option.

It competes with cars like the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hayrider, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Honda Elevate.
