Tata Motors Introduces Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT Models in India

Tata Motors introduced new versions of their cars in India called Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG AMT.

The Tiago starts at Rs 7.90 lakh and the Tigor starts at Rs 8.85 lakh. The Tiago CNG comes in four variants with an automatic gearbox called AMT.

Compared to the manual CNG versions, the Tiago CNG AMT is about Rs 55,000 more expensive, and the Tigor CNG AMT is about Rs 60,000 more expensive.

These cars can go further on less fuel. Tata claims that the 1.2-liter petrol engine combined with their CNG technology can give a mileage of 28.06 km per kg.

Additionally, Tata has introduced new colors for some of their models.

The Tiago now comes in Tornado Blue, the Tiago NRG in Grassland Beige, and the Tigor in Meteor Bronze.

Amit Kamat, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited, talked about the launch.

He mentioned that CNG has become popular due to its availability and Tata Motors aims to offer innovative features like twin-cylinder technology and direct start in CNG.

They’ve sold over 1.3 lakh CNG vehicles in the past 24 months and are now launching the Tiago and Tigor CNG with automatic transmission for the first time in India.
