Ola Electric brought out MoveOS 4 on October 15, 2023, and now they have introduced an updated version.
They also fixed the issues in MoveOS 4. Ola mentioned that they added more than 100 new features to the scooter after the update.
With this new version, users can use many features with just one tap without leaving the navigation screen.
The initial MoveOS 4 update was released for 50,000 beta users in 2023. Let me share what’s new in MoveOS 4.
Improved Navigation
The most significant update in MoveOS 4 is about navigation. Ola is including Ola Maps in the app, allowing riders to access maps and sketches easily.
This will enhance the interface and make it simpler for users.
Find My Scooter
Even though Ola has maps in its scooter, locating the scooter can still be challenging.
The new “Find My Scooter” feature is being added, enabling users to find their scooter using the Ola Electric app.
It will display the map for reaching the scooter and allow you to share your location.
Party More with Concert Mode
Ola’s scooter already has a party mode that synchronizes with the beats of the music.
Now, they’re introducing “Party more with Concert mode,” allowing users to play one song on multiple Ola electric scooters, with lights responding to the beats.
Your Scooter, Your Commands
A new feature called “Your scooter, Your commands” is coming, allowing users to set different kilometers or time limits for each rider.
Riders will also have control over the scooter’s geographical scope.
Say Hello to Dark Mode
Dark mode is being introduced in the Ola Electric app, improving accessibility at night. Users can enjoy a dark mode for better visibility, including the map.
Tamper Detection
A new security feature called “Tamper Detection” will be added. If someone tries to steal the scooter, it triggers live audio, turns on the lights,
and displays red eyes on the screen, alerting the owner about tampering.
Care Mood
A new “Care Mood” will be added to the scooter’s screen, showing information about savings and CO2 control.
The theme will depict trees based on your savings, indicating how many trees you’ve saved.
More Features
Additional features include hyper-charging fast, improved charging time prediction, enhanced hill hold features,
new descent hill hold, energy insights, biometric app lock, app widgets, increased range, eco mode with cruise control,
auto turn-off indicator, new trip meter, headphone music control, “Take Me Home” light, vacation mode management, call setting, hill hold setting,
region setting, OTA (Over-The-Air) updates, fast touch response, fast contact synchronization, and favorite calls from the app.
