New MG Astor launched in india with 49 Safety Features

Morris Garages (MG), a leading luxury car brand in India, has introduced the all-new 2024 Astor, marking the company’s entry into the ICE model category.

With a starting price of Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom), the Astor offers a range of features,

including front seat ventilation, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto-dimming ORVM, and the upgraded i-Smart 2.0 interface.

Available in Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro variants,

the Astor competes with popular models like Kia Seltos, Grand Vitara, Tata Nexon, and Honda Elevate.

Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director of MG Motor India, shared at the launch event,

“We are dedicated to surpassing our customers’ expectations with cutting-edge automobile technology. The 2024 Astor lineup delivers on this promise, providing remarkable features, design, and excellent value.”

Key Features and Specifications

Equipped with i-Smart 2.0 and over 80 connected features, the Astor boasts a JIO voice recognition system,

enabling advanced voice commands for various functions like weather updates, cricket scores, calculator, date, day information, horoscope, dictionary, news, and general knowledge.

The car incorporates digital anti-theft features that operate even without a network connection, enhancing its safety features compared to the previous model.

The new Astor features a personal AI assistant and 14 level-2 autonomous features, utilizing mid-range radar and multi-purpose cameras.

Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) adds an extra layer of safety, offering a total of 49 high-end safety features.

The interior is designed for comfort with premium details and a panoramic sunroof, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Additional highlights include a 10-inch touchscreen, 6-way powered driver seat, and cruise control, mirroring the current model’s offerings.

Under the hood, the Astor offers a choice between a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (110ps/144Nm) and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine (140ps/220Nm), similar to the existing model.

Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and CVT gearbox.

Notably, the new base variant, Sprint, comes at a reduced price of Rs 80,000 compared to its predecessor, providing a more budget-friendly option for prospective buyers.
