Kia launches K-Charge Initiative for EV6 Users in India

India has just launched a new initiative called K-Charge for people who drive the EV6 electric vehicle. The goal is to make charging your car easier.

The company behind this, Kia, has introduced a special app for users. This app helps you find over 1,000 charging stations across the country.

Kia has partnered with five charging point operators to make this happen: Static, ChargeZone, Relax Electric, Lion Charge, and e-Fill.

They’ve even teamed up with Relax Electric to offer three months of free charging at their stations.

To find charging stations, users can use the K-Charge app, which uses an interactive map from Map My India.

With this app, customers can check if a charging slot is available, find it based on their preferences, and even pay for it using the wallet service within the app.

Kia has big plans for electric vehicles (EVs) in India. They want to sell one million EVs every year by 2026 and increase that number to 1.6 million by 2030.

They’ve already shared their strategy, which includes bringing global EV models to India by 2030 and making EVs locally in RV body styles.

Talking about the EV6, it comes in two versions – one with rear-wheel drive and the other with all-wheel drive.

It has a powerful 77.4 kWh battery that gives it an impressive range of about 500 kilometers.

While people like its design, some are concerned about its high price, especially when compared to other EVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the BMW i4.
