The leaders at Hindustan Zinc Ltd, which is a company in the Vedanta Group, have agreed on a second dividend for the financial year 2023-24.
In their meeting on Wednesday, they decided to give a dividend of Rs 6 for each share, which is 300% of the face value of Rs 2.
The total value of these dividends is Rs 2,535.19 crore. The share price of Hindustan Zinc Limited went up a bit to Rs 326.20.
What the Company Shared
The company has set December 14, 2023, as the date to record who will receive the dividend.
This will be the fourth time in 2023 that Hindustan Zinc shares won’t include the dividend when traded.
The company had already done this in January, March, and July 2023. In a statement to the stock exchange, the company mentioned,
“The Board of Directors has agreed to the second dividend of Rs 6 per share for the financial year 2023-24 in a resolution passed on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
” The total value of this dividend is Rs 2,535.19 crore, and it will be paid on time.
Earlier in July this year, the company had declared its first dividend of Rs 7 per share.
The Vedanta Group, led by industrialist Anil Agarwal, is thinking about making significant changes to the structure of Hindustan Zinc Ltd to lower its debt.
