Sometimes, people make travel plans suddenly, like for work or when there’s an issue.
Things happen, and you find yourself needing to leave within a day. But, getting train tickets isn’t easy, and we can face difficulties.
Sometimes, we have to travel without a reserved seat. However, today we will share some simple ways to easily get a confirmed ticket so your journey can be more convenient.
Railway confirmed Ticket app
Because people were having trouble getting tickets, IRCTC made the Confirmtkt App.
You can also book confirmed tickets on its website. The app works on Android phones and is available in many languages, including English and Hindi.
You don’t need to check seats in each train individually. Once you search, you’ll see details of available seats in all the trains on that route.
If there are no tickets, you can choose to book by paying a bit extra. But remember, you need an IRCTC login ID to book tickets.
You can also choose Tatkal or Premium Tatkal booking
Booking Tatkal tickets begins at 10 am for AC and 11 am for sleeper class. You can book it only a day before the train leaves.
Additionally, there’s an option for premium Tatkal booking in emergencies, but you might need to pay extra for it.
As more seats in the train get taken, the premium prices go up quickly. It’s similar to how airlines handle ticket bookings.
Make My Trip Guarantee Program
Make My Trip has a program called Trip Guarantee for confirmed ticket booking.
If the train is full, passengers can also book tickets from railway stations within a radius of 60 kilometers. You can also get off at a station near your destination.
The company offers a full refund if the ticket is canceled before the chart is prepared.
If the train ticket is not confirmed, there’s also an option for a flight. Besides that, taxi and bus options are also part of this guarantee program.
The company provides travel vouchers to passengers, which can help them avoid extra expenses on their journey. Moreover, they can receive up to three times the refund.
