Skoda, the Czech car manufacturer, has introduced a new version of its popular models, Kushaq and Slavia, called Elegance.
This is a special black variant of the two models, with some unique features.
The starting price for Kushaq Elegance is ₹18.31 lakh (excluding showroom charges), going up to ₹19.51 lakh for the automatic version.
The Slavia Elegance starts at ₹17.52 lakh (excluding showroom charges), and its automatic version is priced at ₹18.92 lakh (excluding showroom charges). Let’s explore the special features of these two models.
Skoda has given both the Kushaq SUV and the Slavia sedan an all-black theme in the Elegance variants.
These versions come with some visual changes, distinguishing them from the standard models.
These include new two-tone alloy wheels, chrome detailing on the grille, an “elegance” badge on the steering wheel, and the B-pillar.
Both models are equipped with Skoda’s 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine, and the Elegance variants offer both manual and DSG transmission options.
Before the Elegance variants, Skoda had already introduced several special editions for both the Kushaq and Slavia, in addition to their standard versions.
These include the Lava Blue, Matte, Monte Carlo, and Onyx variants. The most recent additions to the lineup were the Onyx variant and the Ambition Plus, introduced during the festive season earlier this year.
If we look at specific variants, the Kushaq Onyx Plus, launched in September, is priced at ₹11.59 lakh (excluding showroom charges).
It comes with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine and features cosmetic updates like new 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome inserts on windows, grille, and tailgate.
On the Slavia side, the Ambition Plus, launched in September, starts at ₹12.49 lakh (excluding showroom charges).
The top-end variant, available with both manual and automatic transmission options, is priced at ₹13.79 lakh (excluding showroom charges).
The Slavia Ambition Plus variant also features similar cosmetic updates, predominantly including chrome garnish, and is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine.
Both the Skoda Kushaq SUV and the Slavia sedan are considered among the safest cars in India.
The Kushaq SUV, along with the Volkswagen Taigun, has earned a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP, making them the safest SUVs available in India.
Similarly, the Slavia, along with the Volkswagen Virtus, has also achieved a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test.
