Tata’s Introduces Stylish Upgrade and New Features in Tata Punch SUV

Tata’s small SUV, the Punch, is still the top-selling car in its group. Its rival, the Hyundai Exeter, is not selling as well.

The Punch stands out because of its special design and features. Now, to make the SUV look even cooler, Tata has added a new feature to its dashboard.

They’re including a 4-inch digital screen as a standard feature up to the Creative trim, which has a sleek semi-digital setup.

On the other hand, the new CNG version of the Tata Punch has a larger 4-inch digital instrument screen that shows almost everything except the tachometer and fuel gauge.

The same instrument setup was used in the older Nexon and the base Smart trim of the updated Nexon.

The Tata Punch comes in 4 versions: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative.

Not just the Nexon, but the Tiago and Tigor (both petrol and petrol+CNG) also have this instrument setup as a standard feature.

Unlike the smaller screen between two analog dials, the new 4-inch digital setup feels modern and tech-savvy.

The Creative trim’s big color TFT screen shows various car-related information like power and torque, trip computer readings, TPMS readings, music info or radio station, coolant temperature, warning lights, and more.

The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-liter Revotron engine that produces 86 PS at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 3300 rpm.

It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, and customers can also choose a 5-speed AMT.

The Punch can achieve a mileage of 18.97 kmpl with manual transmission and 18.82 kmpl with automatic.

The Punch comes with features like a 7-inch touchscreen system, digital instrument cluster, auto AC, automatic headlights, connected car tech, and cruise control. It consistently ranks in the top 10 best-selling vehicles in India.

In terms of safety, the Tata Punch has received a 5-star rating from Global NCAP, just like the Tata Nexon and Tata Altroz.

The Punch got a 5-star rating for adult occupant protection (16,453) and a 4-star rating for child occupant protection (40,891).
