Google’s YouTube is testing a new thing called Playables. This lets people play games on YouTube without downloading them.
The company talked about this in September, saying users could play games on mobile and computer with HTML5.
Right now, only a few people can use this feature. It’s called Playables, and it’s added to the home feed. We found out about this from a report by Android Authority.
Here are some games you can play with this new feature
8 Ball Billiards Classic, Angry Birds Showdown, Basketball FRVR, Brain Out, Canon Balls 3D, Carrom Clash, Color Burst 3D, Color Pixel Art, Crazy Caves, Cube Tower, Daily Crossword, Daily Solitaire, Scooter Extreme, Stack Bounce, and State.io.
Most of these games are for phones, but Google says you can also play them on a computer.
A leaked picture suggests they’ll test this until March next year. So, maybe it’ll start around the middle of 2024.
YouTube says you can find Playables by scrolling down on your home screen or in the Explore menu.
If you don’t like it, there’s an option to turn it off. Google hasn’t said when they’ll launch Playables, and it might be just for YouTube Premium users.
