When you’re on an airplane, you can’t talk to people or use the internet for a few hours.
Your phone and internet stop working because of something called flight mode.
But soon, flight mode is going to finish. Tata Group’s Vistara, the airplane company, wants to give WiFi service to people on flights.
This means Vistara Airlines will be the first Indian company to give internet on planes.
Service is available between Delhi and London
Vistara Airlines, which is owned by Tata Sons and SIA, recently said they will give free internet on certain planes called Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
You can use this service right now between the airports in Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport or IGI) and London (Heathrow Airport).
The company is going to make this internet service available on another type of plane called Airbus 321 Neo.
Everyone on the plane can use this service, but only for a short time during the flight.
Vistara became the first Indian company
Vistara is the first Indian company to start WiFi messaging. People on the plane can use their smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
Many airlines from around the world have been giving this service to their passengers for a long time.
They started it for flights that go a really long way. Now, Vistara is also going to be a part of this special group.
Will be able to use email and social media
Even when the plane is up high at about 35 thousand feet, people can easily do their work using the internet.
You can use many things like email, social media, and messages during the flight.
Vistara will also ask people what they think about this service and make changes if needed.
Very beneficial for employees and businessmen
On a long flight, you might not know what’s happening in the world for many hours.
That’s why many airlines around the world started offering some internet.
This has been very helpful for workers and business people. Now, they can easily finish their work even during the flight.
