Who Can Benefit? The recently approved ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana’ by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann primarily caters to elderly residents of Punjab.
To take advantage of this scheme, you must be a native of Punjab and over 60 years of age. This program aims to provide free pilgrimage opportunities for those facing financial hardship.
Delhi Chief Minister’s Praise Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extended his congratulations to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for securing cabinet approval for the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirtha Yatra Yojana.
‘ Mann’s post stated that, following Delhi’s example, Punjab will now implement the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, offering free travel, accommodation, and meals.
Benefits of the Scheme Delhi CM Kejriwal highlighted the success of a similar program in Delhi, which has already taken more than 75,000 people on pilgrimages.
Chief Minister Mann announced that special trains and buses will be organized for citizens to visit religious sites under this scheme, with a launch date set for November 27, coinciding with Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Additional details will be shared soon.
