In a recent move, Delhi Metro has introduced a convenient digital locker service at 50 metro stations.
This digital locker system is managed through a user-friendly mobile app, ‘Momentum 2.0’, allowing passengers to securely store their belongings for a set duration.
The service was inaugurated by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Managing Director, Vikas Kumar, at Shivaji Stadium metro station.
This feature is now available at 50 key stations, including Rajiv Chowk, Millennium City Center Gurugram, Dwarka Sector-10, Supreme Court, Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Stand), Dilshad Garden, Noida City Centre, Anand Vihar, and Sarita Vihar.
These smart lockers can be reserved for a specified time according to your needs, and booking is hassle-free through the ‘Momentum 2.0’ mobile app, eliminating the need for assistance.
Here’s how it works: Passengers can book lockers for durations ranging from one to six hours, and payments can be made online through the app.
This innovative solution is offered by Autopay Payment Solution, the company behind the app.
Comparing this digital locker facility to traditional cloakrooms found in railway stations, a senior DMRC official highlighted that the primary distinction lies in the use of a digital platform.
Additionally, passengers can explore virtual stores at 20 metro stations, utilize smart lockers for courier services, and even purchase QR codes, all with the help of this versatile app.
