South East Central Railway Expands Easy Ticketing Options for Passengers

For the convenience of train travelers, South East Central Railway has introduced ticket counters at 319 railway stations, post offices, airports, and other key locations. Passengers can now easily purchase train tickets from these outlets.

Railway officials emphasize their commitment to improving passenger facilities and ensuring a comfortable travel experience.

The Reserved Passenger Ticket System (PRS) has been initiated to simplify ticketing for passengers.

The Raipur Railway Division reports that South East Central Railway places safety and passenger convenience at the forefront of rail transport.

As part of this effort, the railway now offers convenient ticketing options at all 319 stations in the Raipur, Bilaspur, and Nagpur areas.

This initiative includes 202 Unreserved Ticketing Systems (UTS), 59 Unreserved Ticketing Systems combined with the Passenger Reservation System (PRS), 76 Passenger Reservation Systems (PRS),

14 Passenger Ticket Facilitation Centers (YTSK), eight Jan Sadharan Ticket Booking Sevaks (JTBS), 94 Station Ticket Booking Agents (STBAs), and 88 Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs).

Ticket counters are available at various locations, including airports, assembly halls, and Ravi Shankar University in Raipur.

In Bilaspur, these counters can be found at the Tehsil office, High Court building, Mungeli, Baloda, Amarkantak post office, Korba post office, Ambikapur post office, and Jashpur Nagar post office, among other places.

The service has also been extended to Surajpur, Baikunthpur, Bemetara Post Office, Balodabazar, Kanker, Kawardha, Airport Nagpur, Khairagarh, Chhindwara, Gadchiroli, Motibagh, Sakardhara Post Office, Bhandara Post Office, Dindori Post Office, and Shankarnagar Post Office, among others.

In addition to online ticketing, passengers can now buy general tickets through a mobile app after reserving e-tickets from the IRCTC website.

No More Waiting in Long Ticket Queues

With these new facilities, passengers no longer need to visit the railway station and endure long ticket queues.

Passengers can conveniently book travel tickets from the comfort of their homes and even issue or renew season tickets (MST) through the UTS mobile app.

The UTS mobile app, which allows passengers to instantly book unreserved tickets, issue or renew season tickets (MST), and obtain platform tickets, has received a positive response from passengers.

The number of passengers using this mobile app is steadily increasing, making travel more convenient for all.
