Central Railways to Run 16 Festival Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath Travelers

During festive seasons like Diwali and Chhath, an influx of travelers chooses trains to return home.

The resulting increase in train passengers prompts the Railways to operate special festival trains to ensure everyone secures a seat without hassle.

Central Railway has announced the operation of 16 festive special trains, catering to passengers traveling between Mumbai and Hazur Sahib Nanded. Here’s what you need to know:

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Hazur Sahib Nanded Special (8 Services)

1) Train number 07427 departs from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16:40 every Tuesday, from 24.10.2023 to 14.11.2023, covering four trips. It arrives at Hazur Sahib Nanded at 09:30 the following day.

2) Train number 07426 leaves Hazur Sahib Nanded at 21:15 every Monday, from 23.10.2023 to 13.11.2023, also covering four trips. It reaches Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13:30 the next day.

This train makes stops at Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Washim, Hingoli, Basmat, and Purna.

The train comprises one first AC, one AC 2-tier, six AC 3-tier, nine sleeper class, two general second class, and two generator van coaches, totaling 21 LHB coaches.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Hazur Sahib Nanded Special (8 Services)

1) Train number 07429 departs from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16:55 every Thursday, from 26.10.2023 to 16.11.2023, with four trips. It reaches Hazur Sahib Nanded at 09:00 the next day.

2) Train number 07428 leaves Hazur Sahib Nanded at 21:15 every Wednesday, from 25.10.2023 to 15.11.2023, with four trips. It arrives at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13:00 the next day.

This train stops at Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Washim, Hingoli, Basmat, and Purna.

It consists of 13 AC 3-tier, six sleeper class, and two generator vans, totaling 21 LHB coaches.

To book your tickets for train numbers 07427 and 07429 at special rates, reservations will open on 22.10.2023 at all computerized reservation centers and the website www.irctc.co.in.
