Diwali Bonus 2023: The Modi government has given a generous gift to central employees this Diwali. On Tuesday, 17th September, the government announced a Diwali bonus.
Under this, Group B and Group C category employees will receive an amount equal to 30 days’ salary.
The Finance Ministry has announced a non-productivity linked bonus (ad-hoc bonus) for central government employees during the Diwali season.
This bonus will be provided to non-gazetted employees in Group B and Group C of the Central Government who are not covered under any Productivity Linked Bonus Scheme.
On Tuesday, October 17, the ministry revealed that a bonus of Rs 7,000 has been declared for non-gazetted central government employees for the year 2022-23.

The Department of Expenditure in the Finance Ministry has mentioned that the benefit of Non-Productivity Linked Bonus (Ad-hoc Bonus) will also be extended to eligible employees of Central Paramilitary Forces and Armed Forces. Diwali this year falls on 12th November.
According to the statement from the Expenditure Department in the Finance Ministry, this bonus will be given to central government employees who have been in service until March 31, 2023, and have worked for at least 6 months during the year 2022-23.
