Lek Ladki Yojana: This is an important plan from the government for girls in Maharashtra.
The Finance Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, introduced this scheme during his budget speech for 2023-2024.
The main goal of the Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana is to help and support girls in finishing their basic education.
The Maharashtra government will give around Rs 1 lakh to help eligible girls.
They will receive this money in five different parts. In Maharashtra, orange ration cards are for families earning between Rs 15,000 and Rs 1 lakh per year.
In cities, if you earn Rs 15,000, you get a yellow ration card.
Through the Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana, girls in the state will receive financial support in the following steps:
- Rs 5,000 at birth.
2. Rs 6,000 when the girl starts school in class 1.
3. Rs 7,000 when she begins class 6.
4. Rs 8,000 when she enters class 11.
5. Rs 75,000 when she reaches 18 years old.
Families with yellow or orange ration cards can get the benefits of Lek Ladki Yojana.
Only girls born on or after April 1, 2023, can apply. This program will improve the education and social status of girls.
This program is also known as “Lek Ladki Yojana” or the “Maharashtra Financial Assistance Scheme for Girls.”
The Maharashtra government approved it in a meeting led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Eligibility:
To join Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana, you need to meet these conditions:
1. Parents of the girl should live in Maharashtra.
2. You should have a yellow or orange ration card.
3. The girl must be born on or after April 1, 2023.
Required Documents:
You’ll need these documents to apply for Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana:
1. Proof of residence in Maharashtra.
2. Aadhar card for the girl.
3. Birth certificate for the girl.
4. Aadhaar cards for the girl’s parents.
5. Yellow or orange ration card.
6. Bank account details.
7. I Certificate.
8. A photo of the girl.
9. Mobile number.
