Microsoft Offering a Chance to win 12.5 lakh to Internet Users under its Program

Microsoft, the software giant, has unveiled an exciting bug bounty initiative, offering internet users the chance to win rewards as high as Rs 12.5 lakh.

This presents a golden opportunity, especially for security researchers, as they are tasked with uncovering flaws and bugs within Microsoft’s AI-driven Bing services.

As part of this new program, researchers who discover vulnerabilities in Bing services stand to receive rewards ranging from $2,000 (Rs 1.6 lakh) to Rs 15,000 (Rs 12.5 lakh), contingent upon the severity of the detected flaw.

Microsoft’s Push for Enhanced AI Security

This move by Microsoft underscores its commitment to bolstering the security of its AI systems and tools.

Over the past few years, the company has heavily invested in AI security research. Microsoft is optimistic that this program will shed light on previously undisclosed vulnerabilities.

Rewards for Identifying Bugs

Researchers will be rewarded for identifying bugs within the following services:

1) AI-powered Bing features on bing.com in browsers (compatible with all major vendors, including Bing Chat, Bing Chat for Enterprise, and Bing Image Creator)

2) AI-powered Bing integration in Microsoft Edge (Windows), which includes Bing Chat for Enterprise

3) AI-powered Bing integration in the Microsoft Start Application (available on iOS and Android)

4) AI-powered Bing integration in the Skype Mobile Application (accessible on iOS and Android)

Should any flaws or bugs be discovered in the aforementioned services, security researchers are encouraged to visit the Microsoft Security Research Center (MSRC) portal and file a report.
