How to check Online Challan for Vehicle?: Step by Step Guide

These days, technology is all around us. Whether it’s at home, in the office, or even when it comes to traffic tickets, everything has become more advanced and keeps improving.

That’s why you can now check your bike or car for any fines almost anywhere.

If you make even a small mistake while driving, you may get a ticket pretty quickly.

If you like to drive fast on your two or four-wheeler, this information is important for you.

To check an e-challan, follow these easy steps:

Step 1: First, open the Transport Department website on your computer. You can find it at this link: (https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/).

Step 2: Click on the “Check Online Service” option, and then select “Check Challan Status.”

Step 3: Enter your vehicle registration number, your driving license number in the next box, and choose to receive the e-challan through SMS.

Step 4: If you don’t receive an SMS, you can pick the option for either your Driving License or Vehicle Registration.

Step 5: On the next page, provide the necessary information and click “Get Details.”

Step 6: If you have any pending challans or fines, you will see all the details displayed here.

Step 7: If it’s been less than a month since the challan was issued, you can also pay the fine online. You can use your credit card or debit card for this.

Trouble grows if you don’t pay your fine

Sometimes, when life gets busy, people forget to pay their ticket, which can cause more trouble. That’s because the ticket might end up in court.

And if you have a ticket that you haven’t paid and you want to sell your bike or car, you’ll need to clear the ticket first before you can sell it.
