Aprilia RS 457 Revealed: The Italian sports bike company introduced a new bike called RS 457 Sports in India.
This bike falls into the middleweight category. Aprilia is the third international brand for motorcycle enthusiasts in India.
Harley-Davidson also recently entered the Indian market with its entry-level sports bike X440.
Aprilia RS 457 Looks
Let’s talk about how the Aprilia RS 457 looks. It has a sharp and appealing design.
This motorcycle is fully covered in a sporty shell. When it comes to how it looks, it’s quite similar to the RS 660 and RSV4 bikes.
In the front, there are LED daytime running lights shaped like tusks, and it also has two LED headlights.
Additionally, it has a half handlebar and controls that light up.
Some other features include a 5-inch color screen, silver-finished aluminum frame on the sides (usually found on large super sports bikes), LED brake light, turn signals, and a sleek tail end.
Aprilia RS 457 Brakes and Suspension
The Aprilia RS 457 has special parts for stopping and riding comfortably.
In the front, it has 41 mm upside-down forks with a way to change how tight they are pressed down.
In the back, there’s a single shock that can also be adjusted to make the ride more comfortable.
For the wheels, there are 17-inch alloy wheels. The front tire is 110/70, and the rear tire is 150/60. These numbers tell us how big the tires are.
When it comes to stopping the bike, the front has a big 320 mm disc, and there are two of them.
In the back, there’s another 320 mm disc. Also, there’s a 220 mm disc near the wheel to help slow down the bike.
Aprilia RS 457 Engine
Let’s discuss the engine of the Aprilia RS 457. It has a special engine that uses liquid to keep it cool.
This engine has two cylinders and two camshafts, and it can make a maximum of 47 horsepower. It works with a 6-speed gearbox, like the gears in a car.
The bike itself weighs 159 kilograms. We’ll know how much it costs when it’s officially released.
It’s also important to note that this bike is going to be made in India.
Aprilia RS 457 will be in a competition with bikes like KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and the new Yamaha YZF R3.
