PhonePe has introduced a special new feature. They’ve used the voice of a famous actor, Amitabh Bachchan, for this.
This feature tells PhonePe smartspeakers in India when your payment is successful, all in Amitabh Bachchan’s voice.
Right now, it works in Hindi and English, and they plan to add more languages later.
PhonePe started selling these smartspeakers a year ago. Since then, they’ve been used by shops in lots of places, covering over 90% of the country, with four million devices.
These smartspeakers have checked 1,000 million transactions all over India.
Adding Amitabh Bachchan’s voice makes paying more fun for shopkeepers and customers.
Vivek Lohcheb, the person in charge of business at PhonePe, said, “We’re really happy to put Amitabh Bachchan’s voice on our smartspeakers for shopkeepers in India.
Everyone knows and likes his voice. Because one out of four Indians uses PhonePe, we think this will make our smartspeakers even more popular.”
To get Amitabh Bachchan’s voice on your PhonePe smartspeaker, shopkeepers can open the PhonePe for Business app, go to the SmartSpeaker part, pick “Smartspeaker Voice,” choose the language, and say “Confirm.”
Your smartspeaker will start speaking like Amitabh Bachchan in a few hours!
These smartspeakers from PhonePe are cool because you can take them with you, the battery lasts a long time, they sound good even in noisy places, and they’re small and easy to use. They’re perfect for busy shops.
Before, shopkeepers who used basic phones had to rely on SMS for payment confirmations. But now, with the PhonePe Smartspeaker, it’s much easier.
PhonePe smartspeakers can talk to you in many Indian languages, the battery lasts for up to four days, they have their own data connection, a light that shows the battery level, they make sounds when the battery is low, and they tell you about your last payment.
There’s even a button to play it again.
