MG Motor India has unveiled the Blackstorm Edition of its popular Aster SUV, expanding its lineup.
With an attractive starting price of just Rs 14,87,800 ex-showroom, this new addition follows the MG Gloster’s footsteps by adopting a sleek black theme for both its interior and exterior.
Notable Updates in the Black Storm Edition
While the mechanical aspects of the Astor remain unchanged, the Blackstorm Edition brings in some striking cosmetic enhancements.
This limited variant now boasts a black-finished honeycomb pattern grille, black alloy wheels with eye-catching red brake callipers, black headlamps, glossy black door garnish, and stylish black roof rails. You’ll also spot ‘Blackstorm’ badging on the front fender.
Inside the cabin, the Astor Blackstorm offers black upholstery with contrasting red stitching, red AC vents, an all-black floor console, and more red stitching accents on the steering wheel and doors.
MG Aster Blackstorm Engine
Under the hood, the engine remains the same with a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine producing 110 horsepower and 144 Nm of peak torque.
Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual (MT) or an 8-speed CVT transmission.
Features Galore
In terms of features, the Blackstorm Edition packs a punch with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, and a panoramic sunroof.
It also offers level 2 ADAS safety features including AEB, adaptive cruise control, lane warning, and lane keep assist.
Safety-wise, it comes equipped with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, ESP, and traction control.
MG Aster Blackstorm Price
The MG Aster Blackstorm Edition is available with both the 1.5-liter petrol engine, MT, and CVT transmissions.
The MT variant is competitively priced at Rs 14,47,800 ex-showroom, while the CVT option is available at Rs 15,76,800 ex-showroom.
