Paytm has introduced a new product called the Paytm Card Soundbox. This device is designed to help shopkeepers, including those with limited English skills, accept payments through debit and credit cards more easily.
With the Paytm Card Soundbox, shop owners can now accept mobile and card payments using the Tap and Pay option.
This feature works with all major card networks, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and RuPay, making it simple for them to expand their businesses.
Shopkeepers can accept card payments of up to Rs 5000 using the Paytm Card Soundbox.
This device also provides payment alerts in 11 different languages, ensuring that users can understand the notifications.
Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the Founder & CEO of Paytm, explained, “With the Paytm Card Soundbox, we have taken mobile payments to the next level.
We have observed that both merchants and consumers prefer mobile payments through Paytm QR Codes, but card acceptance is also essential.
The introduction of the Card Soundbox will help bridge the gap between these two requirements.”
The new Paytm Card Soundbox allows merchants to accept card payments of up to Rs 5000.
It relies on 4G network connectivity for fast payment alerts and features a four-watt speaker that enhances the clarity of these alerts. The device’s battery lasts for five days.
Furthermore, the Paytm Card Soundbox offers alerts in 11 languages, which merchants can easily switch between using the Paytm for Business app.
If users have NFC-enabled smartphones, they can also make payments by tapping their phones on the device.
Paytm aims to provide more convenience to merchants with the Paytm Card Soundbox, following the successful launches of the Paytm Pocket Soundbox and Paytm Music Soundbox.
This device helps solve two important challenges for merchants – accepting card payments and receiving instant audio alerts for all payments, making it a valuable addition to their businesses.
