Volvo Cars India introduces the C40 Recharge, its second all-electric SUV for the Indian market, with a starting price of ₹61.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bookings for the C40 Recharge open online from 5 pm on September 5th. These prices are introductory and subject to increase.
Deliveries of the C40 Recharge begin in the second half of this month.
The car shares a design resemblance to the XC40 Recharge, featuring a distinctive sloping roof and a sharp tailgate, along with a revised tail-lamp design.
Key Features
The Volvo C40 Recharge’s cabin boasts a spacious 12.3-inch central portrait-touchscreen infotainment system, vertical air vents, and a digital instrument cluster.
Notably, the cabin is entirely leather-free, and the dashboard trim pieces have backlighting.
Key features include a panoramic glass roof, Harman Kardon sound system, wireless phone charger, PM2.5 air purifier, connected technology, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
Rapid Charging and Safety
Volvo vehicles are renowned for their safety features. The C40 Recharge offers impressive safety elements, including 7 airbags, hill start and hill descent control, a 360-degree camera, and blind spot monitoring.
It also features Level 3 ADAS, enhancing one-pedal driving and increasing range efficiency by 5% to 10%.
The C40 can be fully charged from 0 to 100 percent in just 27 minutes using a 150 kW DC fast charger.
Impressive Range and Performance
The C40 Recharge mirrors the XC40 in terms of power and range. It utilizes a twin-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain generating 402 Bhp and 660 Nm of peak torque, powered by a 78 kWh battery pack.
This combination allows for a WLTP range of up to 530 km on a single charge, surpassing the XC40 Recharge’s 418 km range.
Additionally, the Volvo C40 Recharge can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds.
