These employment fairs took place at 45 different locations across the country.

The Prime Minister proudly stated that India has risen to be the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer.
He attributed this accomplishment to the government’s efforts in boosting mobile manufacturing.
He also announced the upcoming focus on producing other electronic devices within India’s borders.
Boosting Local Manufacturing
PM Modi envisioned a future where India’s pride extends beyond mobiles to include laptops, tablets, computers, and various gadgets manufactured within the country.
Embracing the “Vocal for Local” mantra, the Government of India is urging the purchase of laptops and tablets made in India.
Tourism’s Promise of Employment
Anticipating significant growth, the Prime Minister discussed the expanding pharma and automobile sectors in the country.
He projected that by 2030, the tourism sector could contribute over 20 lakh crores to India’s economy, generating 13-14 crore job opportunities for young individuals.
Job Opportunities in Key Departments
The job fair facilitated recruitment into various departments under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Joining letters were offered to candidates for roles in organizations such as the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and others, including Delhi Police.
Progress Towards Employment Targets
Commencing on October 22, 2022, with the first phase of the employment fair, the Prime Minister set a goal of providing 10 lakh government jobs to the nation’s youth by the end of 2023.
Over the last 10 months, PM Modi has handed out joining letters to around 5 lakh young individuals during eight job fairs.
7th Job Fair Highlights
The 7th job fair took place on July 22, with over 70,000 young people receiving job offers. The event was held across more than 20 states at 44 locations.
PM Modi participated via video conferencing and seized the opportunity to discuss governmental achievements.
A Call for National Pride
In his communication to job seekers, PM Modi drew attention to July 22, the day the Constituent Assembly finalized India’s tricolor flag in 1947.
He urged the new government employees to uphold the dignity and honor of the flag in their roles.
