Pune-based electric two-wheeler company, Torque Motors, has unveiled its latest addition – the Torque Kratos Urban.
This new model joins the Kratos R series and serves as the brand’s new base model.
Despite a decrease in performance and range compared to the base model, the Torque Kratos Urban offers an affordable ex-showroom price of Rs 1,67,499.
Booking this electric bike is easy with a token payment of just Rs 999 through the official booking website. Deliveries are set to commence on August 15.
Dip in Electric Two-Wheeler Sales Post FAME II Subsidy Reduction
The electric two-wheeler market has witnessed a decline following the reduction in FAME II subsidies.
Responding to this trend, manufacturers like Ola and Ather are introducing budget-friendly electric models, expanding their offerings.
Design and Performance Highlight
The design of the Torque Kratos Urban closely resembles its current counterpart.
Equipped with a 4.0 kWh Li-ion battery pack and an ‘Axial Flux’ motor, this model builds upon the existing Kratos-R design.
Tailored for daily urban usage, the bike features a dedicated City mode with a range of up to 100KM and a maximum speed of 70 km/h.
Feature-Packed Kratos Urban: A Closer Look
The Torque Kratos Urban boasts a range of features, including multi-ride modes, rapid charging, in-app navigation, real-time Bluetooth-enabled dashboard access, anti-theft safeguards, and geofencing – all at no extra cost.
The bike is available in three color options: Streaky Red, Oceanic Blue, and Midnight Black.
Competing with electric counterparts like the Revolt RV, Oberon Rohrer, and Hop Oxo, the Torque Kratos Urban presents a compelling choice in the electric bike market.
