Ola Unveils affordable S1 Air Electric Scooter with Enhanced Safety Features

Ola Electric has introduced the latest addition to its S1 series, the budget-friendly S1 Air electric scooter.

This model has quickly become a customer favorite due to its affordability and improved safety measures for passengers.

Ola has ingeniously addressed a common concern by enhancing the rear passenger’s support, ensuring a more secure ride.

Previously, Ola’s scooters had support angles near the seat for rear passengers, but they didn’t extend all the way to the back, leaving riders feeling a bit uneasy about potential falls.

However, Ola has taken a step forward with the S1 Air by repositioning the supporting angle to the rear.

This innovation provides greater stability for passengers, especially during sudden movements or jerks.

In addition to this safety enhancement, the S1 Air eliminates the need for customers to invest in a separate backrest, as required with the S1 Pro and S1 models.

The backrest, which used to cost around 500 rupees or more, is now included, saving customers both money and hassle.

Ola’s dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is evident through the remarkable response to their electric scooters.

The S1 Air, the latest and most economical addition to their lineup, garnered an impressive 50,000 bookings within days of opening its booking window.

This enthusiastic reception further solidifies Ola Electric’s position as a leader in the electric two-wheeler segment for the past year.

The Ola S1 Air boasts an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 109,999, making it an attractive entry-level option.

This price includes a 3kWh battery and a touchscreen display, showcasing Ola’s commitment to providing value for money.

The company achieved cost reduction by omitting drum brakes, hub motor, conventional fork, and rear suspension expenses.

One of the highlights of the S1 Air is its advanced MoveOS 3 operating system, offering features like Proximity Unlock, Party Mode, Bluetooth Calling, Moods, and Profile settings.

As the S1 Air enters the market, Ola has temporarily halted production of the S1, which previously offered a range of 141 km.

Performance-wise, the S1 Air can cover a distance of 125 km on a single charge and reach a top speed of 90 km/h.

This surpasses the earlier promises of 85 km for the 2 kWh model and 165 km for the 4 kWh model, with a consistent top speed of 85 km/h.

Ola has elevated the S1 Air’s top speed to 90 km/h and presents it in six attractive color choices.

For those interested, the introductory price of the Ola S1 Air has been extended until August 15th due to the overwhelming response.

After this date, the ex-showroom price will increase from the current subsidized rate of Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.20 lakh, reflecting a modest increase of Rs 10,000.
