Kalindi Express Route Extended to Prayagraj From August 5

The Ministry of Railways has issued an order to extend the route of Kalindi Express, which runs between Bhiwani and Kanpur Central, to Prayagraj starting from August 5.

Additionally, preparations are underway to extend the 15003-15004 Chaurichaura Express, operating between Gorakhpur and Kanpur (Anwarganj), up to Farrukhabad.

Platform Change for Kalindi Express

Previously terminating at Kanpur Central, Kalindi Express will now stop at platform number two or three of Anwarganj station for approximately five and a half hours.

This extension of Chaurichaura Express to Farrukhabad opens up new possibilities for other trains to terminate at Anwarganj.

Kalindi Express History

In the past, Kalindi Express used to run only between Bhiwani and Farrukhabad until 2006.

Former Union Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal extended its route to Kanpur Central and later to Anwarganj.

Now, for the third time, it is being extended from Kanpur Central to Prayagraj.

E-Cars to Aid Passengers at Kanpur Central

Starting from August, passengers at Kanpur Central station will have the convenience of E-cars to travel between platforms.

This facility aims to assist women, children, and the disabled, providing easy and accessible transportation.

Passengers can avail themselves of this service by paying Rs 15 per person or booking the entire car for Rs 75.

The Railways have partnered with a private company to run these E-cars, ensuring 24-hour availability on the platform.

According to ACM Santosh Tripathi of Kanpur Central, this facility will be a significant boon for women, the elderly, and the disabled.
