Gautam Adani’s Adani Group, known for its strong business presence across various sectors, from FMCG to Airports, is set to venture into a new sector.
Soon, customers will witness Adani’s credit cards with an array of benefits.
Partnership with Visa to Offer Exciting Benefits
In a recent development reported by ET, Adani Group has teamed up with American digital payment gateway company Visa to issue co-branded cards.
Both companies have signed respective deals, aiming to provide customers with enticing offers ranging from retail to airport and online travel services.
This strategic collaboration aims to attract approximately 40 crore customers in the country.
Visa’s CEO, Ryan McInerney, shared insights during a conference call with analysts, highlighting the deal with Adani Group to offer these co-branded credit cards.
Through this partnership, Visa gains access to Adani’s vast customer base of 400 million, who currently utilize the group’s airport and online travel services.
Adani Group’s Expanding Airports Network
With an existing network of seven airports in India, Adani Group is expected to expand its operations in the aviation sector further.
These seven airports already handle a significant portion of India’s air traffic, with domestic passenger traffic seeing a remarkable 92 percent increase and international passenger traffic soaring by 133 percent.
Trainman Acquisition and Future Plans
Adani Group recently made a substantial move in the travel sector by acquiring Trainman, an online platform for train ticket booking services.
This acquisition is poised to strengthen Adani Group’s involvement in the travel industry.
In addition, Adani Group’s Chairman, Gautam Adani, revealed plans to launch a super app, aiming to integrate the group’s diverse range of services.
Unique Market Offering
Currently, there are limited options for travel-focused co-branded credit cards in the market.
ICICI Bank and Make My Trip, SBI and Yatra, and Axis Bank and Vistara are some of the few entities offering such products.
As Adani Group and Visa join hands, the introduction of their co-branded credit cards is anticipated to revolutionize the travel credit card market, providing customers with exciting benefits and rewarding experiences.
