Audi India is gearing up to introduce the highly-anticipated Audi Q8 e-Tron, an electric luxury SUV, in the Indian market.
The much-awaited launch is scheduled for August 18, 2023, with both standard and sportback coupe variants set to be available.
Leaked online information suggests that the Audi Q8 e-Tron is a refreshed version of the existing e-Tron, which was the company’s first electric SUV.
Design and Features:
The Audi Q8 e-Tron boasts a sleek blacked-out redesigned grille, extending beneath the headlamps, featuring Audi’s new monochrome logo, and a downward-projecting light bar at the front.
The front bumper has been reprofiled, and large air intakes adorn both sides of the SUV. Notably, the electric SUV will be powered by a robust 114 kWh battery pack, delivering an impressive range of up to 500 km on a full charge.
The car generates a formidable 408 hp and 664 Nm of torque, enhanced by the e-Tron quattro all-wheel drive system.
Fast Charging Capabilities:
A standout feature of the Audi Q8 e-Tron is its impressive charging capabilities. With a DC fast charger, the SUV can go from 10% to 80% charge in just 29 minutes and from 20% to 80% in under 20 minutes.
Additionally, the vehicle will come equipped with a 22 kW AC charger, taking the battery from 0% to 100% in approximately six hours.
The Audi Q8 e-Tron exhibits remarkable acceleration, achieving 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.6 seconds.
Luxurious Interior and Infotainment:
Inside, the Audi Q8 e-Tron is adorned with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.6-inch screen, and a digital instrument cluster.
The SUV offers a plethora of comforts and convenience features, including ventilated and heated front seats with massage function, the Ambient Lighting Package Plus, Park Assist Plus with a 360⁰ camera, 4-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof.
The premium Bang & Olufsen 16-speaker sound system further enhances the luxurious driving experience.
The Audi Q8 e-Tron is set to provide customers with a compelling electric SUV option in the Indian market, presenting a direct competitor to the Jaguar I-Pace.
