Chinese smartphone manufacturer Redmi is gearing up to launch its budget-friendly smartphone, the Redmi 12Z, in India next month.
In addition to the previously confirmed Moonstone Silver color, the company will also introduce the smartphone in a striking Jade Black variant, featuring a crystal glass finish.
The Redmi 12Z has already made its debut in the international market, with Redmi experiencing significant growth in India over the past few years.
The sub-brand of Xiaomi released the Redmi 12 in select countries last month, boasting a MediaTek G88 SoC, a triple rear camera setup, and a 50-megapixel primary camera.
Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 12Z will be launched in India on August 1, with the design and specifications being teased through a dedicated landing page on the company’s website.
Notably, the smartphone showcases a curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
During its European launch, the Redmi 12Z was available in Midnight Black, Polar Silver, and Sky Blue color options, with an initial price of 199 euros (approximately Rs. 17,000).
In Thailand, Redmi priced the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant at 5,299 Bhat (around Rs. 12,500). It is expected that the pricing in India will be similar to that in Europe.
Expected Specifications of the Redmi 12Z
The smartphone features a 6.79-inch display with a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The display offers Full HD Plus resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, with the fingerprint sensor located on the side.
