In a major update for customers of India’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI), the bank has announced an extension of its Special Fixed Deposit Scheme (FD) specifically designed for senior citizens.
The scheme, known as SBI WeCare, will now be available until September 30.
Additionally, the bank has also extended the duration of the Amrit Kalash Special FD Scheme.

Interest Rates Offered
SBI has extended the duration of its Special WeCare FD scheme until September 30, 2023.
This exclusive FD scheme is applicable for both new deposits and matured deposits.
Currently, depositors can enjoy an interest rate benefit of 7.50 percent on this special scheme.
Senior citizens receive the highest interest benefit within the 5 to 10-year tenure range under this particular FD scheme.
For senior citizens, SBI’s VCare FD scheme is highly recommended as a lucrative investment option.
SBI Amrit Kalash FD Scheme
Furthermore, SBI has also extended the deadline for another special scheme called the Amrit Kalash Yojana.
Previously, the scheme was set to expire on March 31, 2023, but it has now been extended until June 30, 2023.
However, individuals interested in investing in this special FD scheme only have one week remaining to do so.
The scheme offers a tenure of 400 days, with the general public benefiting from an interest rate of 7.10 percent, and senior citizens enjoying a rate of 7.60 percent.
